The Czech national transmission company Ceske Radiokomunikace (CRa) has announced that its priority is “connecting the world of TV and the internet”.
It also says that it has completed the installation of the largest cloud services for the media in the country.
The CRa points to the strategic partnership with TV Nova which has already seen the launch of a playback service made NOVA Plus.
It has also established a division under the name CRa Labs whose mission is to bring innovation and partnerships linking the TV and internet.
The CRa says that the cloud installation for multimedia services was completed in February and that it also currently operates a national Content Delivery Network (CDN).
The CRa in addition says that Czech broadcasters are expected to generate up to 15% of their total revenues from online services by 2020.
In the OTT space, its first customer was Lagardère and tit has since been joined by TV Nova and its services Voyo and NOVA Plus
