The Polish National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has fined TVN PLN200,000 (€47,274) for screening a film containing pornographic content.
According to the regulator, the film in question – The Power of Desire – was shown on TVN Style, a channel aimed at female viewers, in August 2013.
The KRRiT dismissed TVN’s claims that the film was “modern, erotic cinema aimed at women” and added that it had in fact won a pornographic film award in Toronto in 2012.
TVN says it will appeal against KRRiT’s decision.
