TV Nova extend VOYO streaming deal

nova-tv-newThe leading Czech commercial broadcaster TV Nova has renewed its contract for streaming services with Visual Unity Global.

Two years ago CME-backed TV Nova chose Visual Unity Global, which is a provider of video and digital media solutions, to launch its subscription-only service VOYO. After a comprehensive and lengthy technical evaluation, it has decided to extend its contract for OTT and CDN services until 2016.

Commenting on the development, Tomas Petru Visual Unity Global’s CEO, said, “We are delighted to continue delivering our award-winning OTT platform for TV Nova, as it further demonstrates our ability to maintain long-term relationships with our clients. Maintaining happy clients and high customer satisfaction is core to our business values.“

Petr Horák, head of diversification, TV Nova, added: The VOYO video portal offers its subscribers more than 2,000 titles ranging from the latest blockbusters to the Czech classics, including TV Nova’s own productions and series before they are premiered on TV. I am happy about the continued co-operation with Visual Unity, which as a respected expert in its field will continue providing the streaming services to more than 30,000 VOYO users.”

Gabriel Dusil, chief marketing and corporate strategy officer at Visual Unity Global, added, “We are proud that our OTT platform, vuMedia sits at the heart of TV Nova’s VOYO, a leading provider of video on demand in the Czech Republic. By extending the VOYO contract we continue to demonstrate our service excellence in delivering large OTT installations, such as VOYO which includes over 10,000 premium content assets.”
