Scripps Networks International has appointed Gareth Williams to be its VP of commissioning for the UK and EMEA regions starting in April.
Williams will report to Nick Thorogood, senior VP of content and marketing for the UK and EMEA.
In the role, he will oversee commissioning for the various channels, including Food Network, Travel Channel and Fine Living across the regions. He replaces Sue Walton.

Prior to that he was the VP of content and production for Latin America at BBC Worldwide, channel head of UKTV Food, and held senior production roles at the BBC and ITV.
“Gareth brings insight and understanding across editorial and commissioning,” said Thorogood in a statement.
“His international experience, lifestyle expertise and his extensive knowledge of production communities across the globe will be invaluable as we continue to develop our portfolio of channels.”
“Food and lifestyle programming has been my passion throughout my career in TV and I am thrilled to be able to bring my experience and passion together in this new role,” said Williams.
