German public broadcasters ARD (Das Erste) and ZDF will be available again on Belgacom TV as of March 14, 2014.
The IPTV operator said that an agreement between Belgacom and the two public broadcasters was reached without giving any financial details.
Last June, Belgacom decided to keep to drop the two channels, as the broadcasters doubled the amount Belgacom has to pay to carry ARD and ZDF from EUR500,000 to EUR1 million per year.
At the time, there was even political pressure to keep the two main German channels on the IPTV platform, but Belgacom stuck to its decision to drop the channels.
