The Russian cable operator ER Telecom says it increased its share of the country’s pay-TV market from 10% to 13% in 2013.
At the same time, its share of the broadband internet market rose from 10% to 12%.
In the 56 cities in which ER Telecom provided services, it ended the year with respective shares of 38% and 28% of their pay-TV and broadband internet markets.
ER Telecom had over 2.5 million cable and HD TV subscribers at the end of 2013, making it Russia’s fourth largest pay-TV operator.
The company says its growth can be attributed to the strengthening of the innovative Dom.ru TV offer, along with improved customer service.
