The Slovenian incumbent Telekom Slovenije has announced a white-label OTT solution for operators and media companies based on its TViN platform.
TViN is an all-in-one solution with second screen, live TV, VOD, and cloud storage options, enabling service providers to seamlessly expand their OTT TV service to multiple devices.
The platform can be fully customised by the user, enabling flexible roll out of additional services as they become relevant to the given ecosystem. Right out of the box, TViN supports live TV, catch-up TV, remote PVR and EPG functionalities, VOD, and cloud-based storage with media transcoding capabilities. Solutions and apps are available for all common platforms.
Significantly, the platform is also one of the first in the world to integrate UEFA LiveEx technology, providing sports fans following UEFA Champions League matches a better overview of other football games being played simultaneously.
Commenting on the platform, Simon Furlan, marketing director at Telekom Slovenije, said: “The evolution of TViN from a simple web-TV application to a comprehensive web and mobile OTT platform is the logical next step, following the successful integration of the solution into the ecosystems of several regional operators.
“TViN enables operators and media companies without an OTT platform to quickly upgrade their existing services with a state-of-the-art solution, encompassing all media delivery needs as well as a cloud storage option with media transcoding, integrated into the OTT customer experience.”
TViN has already been implemented by several other operators including Kosovo’s IPKO and Blicnet in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Pete Smith, MD at Antenna Group, added: “Distributing content on the web is gaining importance, and at Planet TV it is a cornerstone of our strategy.
“TViN enabled us to deploy the content delivery system in record time and due to its future-proof technology, Planet TV is the leading multi-screen TV channel in the market.”
