Poland’s Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) has announced a tender for a licence to operate a local DTT multiplex in the Lower Silesia part of the country.
The licence, valid until the end of 2020, is according to Wirtualne Media likely to be contested by Telewizja Luzyce and Telewizja Regionalna.
The former is a local analogue station that has an agreement in place with the national commercial broadcaster TVN and latter a station owned by Pressmedia that already has distribution on UPC Polska.
Applications for the licence are being accepted until April 7.
There are currently two local DTT multiplexes operating in Poland, licensed to NTL Radomsko, a subsidiary of TVN, and TVT.
