Arianespace has said that the Ariane Flight VA216 launch with Astra 5B and Amazonas 4A on board, is postponed.
In order to allow Hispasat to perform complementary checks on the Amazonas 4A satellite, Arianespace has rescheduled the launch of this mission – originally scheduled for March 7.
A new date for the mission will be announced very soon.
This is the second time the VA216 flight has been prostponed – the original launch date was December 6, 2013, but on November 13 Arianesapce announced that Hispasat has informed the company that its Amazonas 4A satellite required additional verifications.
