Deutsche Telekom is understood to have acquired the 40% stake in T-Mobile Czech Republic previously held by Mid Europa Partners (MEP) and Al Ain for around €800 million, according to Reuters, quoting an anonymous source and confirming a report in Germany’s Manager Magazin Online.
The deal would give Telekom complete control of T-Mobile Czech Republic and help the company in its plan to integrate its mobile and fixed line networks across Europe.
T-Mobile operates a DTH service in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia via Astra 3A and 3B at 23.5 degrees East.
