The German local TV portal based on the HbbTV standard is now also available on DVB-T in selected cite.
The so-called Lokal-TV-Portal is an initiative of the Bayerischen Landeszentrale für neue Medien (BLM), who developed this central portal for all local TV broadcasters.
The portal now gives access to local broadcasters from the states of Bavaria, and Baden-Württemberg. Stations from three more states will join during the coming weeks, Saxony, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt
The portal launched on satellite a year ago, and is now also available on DVB-T in Munich, Nürnberg, Stuttgart, Saarbrücken, Rhine/Main, North-Rhine Westphalia, Hannover, Bremen, Hamburg, Kiel, Lübeck and Berlin.
Viewers need a HbbTV equipped receiver, which his connected to a broadband ISP.
