Russia’s CTC Media has begun to broadcast the international version of its thematic channel Peretz in Kyrgyzstan, working in partnership with the local broadcaster Evropa-Azia.
Commenting on the development, Sergey Petrov, chief broadcasting officer at CTC Media, said: “Expanding CTC Media channels’ internationally broadcasting is part of the Company’s long-term strategy. “Evropa-Azia” already owns the rights to distribute the CTC television channel’s signal in Kyrgyzstan. Peretz is now available in the country’s main cable networks and we plan on continuing to dynamically develop our technical penetration. In 2014 Peretz’s viewers will see quite a lot of new programmes and genres.”
Ayder Bekirov, CEO of Evropa-Azia, added: “We have been successfully working with CTC Media since 2012. I am certain that Peretz will not disappoint Kyrgyz viewers and will give us all a great deal of vividly positive emotions.”
The international version of Peretz began broadcasting in Belarus last year.
