Poland’s Cyfrowy Polsat has entered into a wide-ranging agreement with Stopklatka, which plans to launch a new film hybrid TV channel named Stopklatka TV on April 28, 2014.
Valid until the end of next year, it allows for distribution of the channel on the Cyfrowy Polsat DTH platform, via DTH to individual receivers and – should Cyfrowy Polsat decide to launch such a service – ADSL.
Also included is internet distribution, including on ipla, and on Multiroom.
Stopklatka TV is a joint venture between Stopklatka, Agora and Kino Polska.
It secured a licence from Poland’s National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) on the first DTT multiplex last September and its owners have already announced that it will use HbbTV technology.
