Canal+ Group has created a new division called Canal OTT and placed Manuel Alduy as its director.
In his new position, Alduy will be responsible for mobile and personal web content, both in France and abroad, offered by the group.
In particular, this will be the deployment of premium offerings via the open internet (OTT) and development of the group’s multi-channel networks (MCN) on the web.
Alduy will report to Alice Holtzman and Maxime Saada, and Canal OTT will come under New Content, which is headed by Fabienne Fourquet, Canalplay headed by Patrick Holzman and Canal+ International, headed by Jean-Marc Juramie.
The new division will capitalise on the digital experience of Lucas Serralta.
Alduy was responsible for the strategy and development of thematic channels at the group from 2001-3 and director of CinéCinéma from 2003-5.
He was appointed director of French film acquisitions in December 2005 and director of cinema of the Canal+ group on February 2008.
Separately, Nathalie Coste Cerdan has been appointed director of cinema at Canal+ Group, which includes all the activities directed by Alduy. She will report to Maxime Saada.
