Dune HD revs up Ekioh engine

Ekioh WeatherEkioh has said its twin rendering engine is being deployed by DUNE HD on its popular TV series set-top boxes.

Dune HD selected Ekioh’s twin engine solution, combined Ekioh SVG for user interface display in combination with Ekioh’s WebKit-based HTML5 engine for third party web content.

“Providing operators with an aggressively price, premium quality solution has always been come to our success,” said Dr Konstantin Dyshlevoy, CEO, Dune HD. “Our customers seek superior graphical performance and partnering with Ekioh has helped us deliver on the request.”

“The demand for responsive and appealling user interfaces has never been greater,” added Stephen Reeder, commercial director, Ekioh. “Our twin engine solution brings the performance required to meet that demand.”

Ekioh’s SVG engine also includes a number of built-in content development tools enabling remote access, debugging and content performance optimisation.

The Cambridge company has previously worked with ADB, Albis, Amino, Arris, Beenius, Ericsson, HubTech, HwaCom, Nagravision, Sagem, Technotrend, Vestel and Zenterio.
