Joanna Tylman has been appointed director of the Polish female-oriented channel TVN Style, effective January 13.
She had held the position of acting director since June 2013, prior to which she worked as the deputy director from 2009, before which was a production coordinator.
Between 2004-7 she worked at ITI Studio as a specialist in film and TV production and post-production, and was also a production manager.
Commenting on the appointment, Malgorzata Lupina, deputy director for programming at TVN thematic channels, said: “Acting as TVN Style director Joanna proved to be an efficient and effective head of the channel. Her formal appointment to director’s position confirms that here in TVN we appreciate and promote outstanding, proven staff members and provide them with opportunities of promotion.”
Tylman added: “TVN Style is currently the best female television channel in Poland. I appreciate the trust that has been put in me through this nomination. It is a fantastic challenge. I am convinced that, with all the support of the entire team of TVN Style, we will meet the needs of modern women even better and will continuously bring inspiration to them.”
