Sky Deutschland has launched its Snap mini-pay service on the iPhone and iPad.
It opens up the ability to transfer movies and TV series from the paycaster onto the TV via the iOS Airplay system, as well as the download of selected content for online viewing.
Monthly subscriptions cost €9.90 with Sky subscribers paying €4.90. A subscription gives unlimited access to around 4,000 movies and TV series.
Alice Mascia, Vice President Strategy at Sky Deutschland: ‘We have successfully launched Snap just in time for the holiday season with a great customer response. I am delighted that we are extending the product range right after the launch and that our customers can now also use Snap with their iPhones and iPod touch. But that’s not all: we will expand the portfolio even further to let our customers watch Snap on their favorite devices.’
Already Snap is available on the web and Samsung TVs. There are plans to make Snap available on Samsung Galaxy products, amongst others.
