The leading Polish alternative telco Netia plans to introduce a number of new advanced services to its offer this year.
According to Satkurier, quoting Grzegorz Grzegorski, the head of personal TV services at Netia, speaking by To i Owo, they include network PVR, HbbTV and more on demand and TV for mobile services.
Grzegorski also points out that its subscribers already spend 25% of their viewing time watching on demand content.
Netia is becoming an increasingly important player in Poland’s TV industry and is set to also become a growing cable operator, having acquired some former Aster networks from UPC Polska.
Its stated aim is to become the leading provider of online services in Poland, on a profitable basis, by 2020.
