The HbbTV portal multithek from German transmitter company Media Broadcast is launching a new live streaming channel, Das Neue TV.
Multithek is available on the Astra satellite at 19.2 degrees East vas well as on selected DVB-T transmitter across Germany in Berlin, Hamburg, Saarbrücken, Rhein/Main, Hannover, Braunschweig, Stuttgart, München, Bremen, Lübeck, Kiel and Nordrhine-Westphalia.
Das Neue TV (The New TV) will be broadcasting entertainment programming as well as documentaries ‘for the whole family’.
Media Broadcast’s multithek is a HbbTV portal offering a number of multimedia services, on-demand programming as well as live streaming channels.
“The link between television and the internet is evolving and becoming more and more advanced. This gives us a variety of new ways to expand the TV offer,” said Sven Eckoldt, Product Manager Business Unit New Media at Media Broadcast.
“Now both satellite and antenna viewers have access to more channels such as Das Neue TV at no additional cost, thanks to the multithek.”
