Russia’s leading DTH platform Tricolor TV has inked a cooperation deal with Disney for 2014.
Under it, the pltaform’s SuperKino HD package will feature 70 animated, highest grossing films from Disney not previously seen on Russian TV.
According to Tricolor TV, the two parties are planning long-term mutually beneficial cooperation, the next step of which will be to expand the package of licensed content with series from ABC.
It also says that new Tricolor TV subscribers opting for the extended basic service (Optimum or Maximum HD) up to December 25 are being offered SuperKino HD and some additional Tricolor TV packages during the Christmas period.
SuperKino HD was launched on October 1, 2013.
It costs R5,400 (€120.7) a year and is available to subscribers of the Tricolor TV Full HD service living with the Eutelsat 36B coverage area.
