The Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment are once again offering free HD satellite feeds of the New Year’s Eve Celebration in Times Square, New York.
The clean, uninterrupted feeds are available free of charge to domestic and international television outlets. Satellite coordinate/fiber feed information for the live, New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31 is available online.
For the first time this year, pre-event coverage will be available only via download, featuring 16×9 HD broadcast quality B-Roll footage. This free video content will be released on a rolling basis on the day of the events leading up to the ball drop: 12/9 (Partner Announcement), 12/17 (Numeral Arrival), 12/19 (Confetti Wishes), 12/26 (Numeral Installation/Poll), 12/27 (Crystal Installation), 12/28 (Good Riddance Day), 12/29 (Confetti Test), 12/30 (Ball Test) and 1/3 (Ball Re-lighting & Raising). In addition to clean, uninterrupted video, broadcast and web quality EPK’s will also be available to download for use on-air and/or online. Information for these downloads is available here.
Lastly, the event organisers have partnered again with Livestream to offer an international, six and a half hour webcast of the event.
Host Allison Hagendorf and three correspondents will provide live, commercial-free coverage of the action in Times Square, including the hourly countdowns, ball raising ceremony, stage performances and special guests. This webcast is available for embedding, with details available here.
