The Russian cable operator ER Telecom will end this year with over 2.51 million subscribers to its Dom.ru service.
Dom.ru, which employs FTTB technology, was launched in 2003 as a 43-channel offer and secured over 20,000 subscribers in its first year of operation.
Today, it is in demand in all 56 cities where the company is present, being chosen by 30% of new subscribers.
Those who opt for additional services allowing them to choose their own TV channels has meanwhile increased by 20%.
Dom.ru.TV currently consists of 159 digital TV channels, 50 of which are in HD.
Subscribers are also given access to 100,000 free licensed video and animation programmes, along with social media sites such as VKontakte and Instagram and a number of additional features including an recording, playback and an EPG.
