Following in the footsteps of Sky in the UK, Sky Deuschland is rolling out a video-on-demand service for all on Thursday, December 12.
Called Snap by Sky, the new service is poised to compete with Maxdome from the ProSiebenSat1 group and Amazon’s Lovefilm. The service is also open to people who do not subscribe to Sky.
Just last week, Sky launched a similar service in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
Sky Deutschland has not officially announced the launch of the new service, but the broadcaster showed the first commercials for Snap by Sky Tuesday evening during the UEFA Champions League live coverage.
