Mediaset has launched a new over-the-top platform that it aims to make available across a multitude of devices.
Infinity boasts some 5,000 titles in the HD format including TV series and movies. The service, clearly aimed at the Netflix market, will cost €9.90 per month. The service is launching with a 15 day free trial.
Content can be accessed through DTT and satellite, PC, Mac, tablets and games consoles including Playstation and the X-Box.
It is understood that Sky Italia is also looking at an OTT offer.
Director of platform marketing Chiara Tosato told local media that Infinity was designed to supplement television viewing rather than replace it.
