VOD apps from broadcasters including the BBC, NOS and Viasat have been made available to coincide with the launch of Playstation 4 in 20 countries across Europe.
Also included are Amazon’s Lovefilm, Netflix and Maxdome.
Game One, FilmoTV and TuneIn Radio, the latter of which recently released on PS3 and PS Vita, are slated to appear on Playstation 4 before the spring.
The BBC iPlayer was made possible following work between Sony and the BBC using the TV Application Layer. The iPlayer is now found on well over 1,000 devices.
The availability of apps varies according to territory.
