Turner Broadcasting has promoted Sean Gorman to director, kids channels, UK.
Gorman, previously senior programming manager for the UK kids business, will oversee the development and growth of the kids’ channels in the UK, including the acquisition and commissioning of new local content and all on air creative and promotions.
He has been with Turner for 11 years, holding various posts in presentation and programming.

It is great to rely on internal talent for strategic leadership positions. In 2013 our kids’ channels in the UK achieved their best audience performance ever. Cartoon Network is currently the number one pay TV channel for boys (4-15) in the UK, with ratings up 60 per cent year on year. Boomerang’s ratings are up 12 per cent year on year and the channel is number one for kids aged four to nine.
