Italian DTH platform TivùSat has declared the activation of two million smart cards.
The landmark has been reached in four years; 1.680 million households have installed dishes to receive the Eutelsat Hotbird-delivered platform.
The regions where TivùSat is at its most popular were Calabria, with 14% of households, Liguria and Molise (13%) , Valle d’ Aosta (12%), Basilicata (11 %) and Sicily (10 %).
63 television channels and 38 radio channels are available including Rai , Mediaset , La7, Real Time and DMax (Discovery), Sky (Sky Italy) , Deejay TV (L’Espresso ), TV2000 , BBC World News, Euronews , France 24, TV5 Monde , Deutsche Welle , TVE Internacional , Bloomberg, Al Jazeera , CCTV News and NHK .
