The leading Polish DTH platform Cyfrowy Polsat has added Romance TV HD to its offer.
The channel, which is operated by Mainstream Networks Holding and distributed in MPEG-4, is being offered in the Film HD package.
The latter now consists of 19 channels, while Cyfrowy Polsat in total offers its viewers 38 channels in the HD format.
Separately, the new music and entertainment-based based channel Power TV, which is due to make its debut on November 20, has entered into a technological partnership with the national commercial broadcaster TVN.
Local reports say the latter will provide it with satellite distribution, MPEG-4 encoding and co-location of servers.
The agreement is open ended and expected to last a number of years.
