TV3 and Dozhd have submitted last minute bids to secure a place on Russia’s second DTT multiplex.
According to local reports, both channels have applied to Roskomnadzor for the place, which was vacated by Sport 1 in October.
Nine channels – Ren TV, CTC, Domashniy, Zvezda, Mir, TNT, Muz-TV, Sport Plus and Spas have so far been allocated slots on the second multiplex and the winner of the last slot will be announced on December 18.
Russia will complete its digital transition in 2015, by which time viewers will be able to receive over 20 DTT channels.
