Agama/Telekom Austria team up in CEE

November 12, 2013 08.01 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

VipnetAgama Technologies is to work with Telekom Austria on the latter’s new DTH platform direct2home targeting broadcast companies and telco operators in the CEE region.

It will act as its video service quality assurance partner, with the first platform benefiting from Agama’s DTV Monitoring Solution being Telekom Austria’s Croatian subsidiary Vipnet.

Commenting on the new partnership, Stefan Amon, director wholesale at Telekom Austria Group, said: “With our new direct2home services we reach some 75 million households in the CEE region. By partnering with the best system providers on the market we deliver a high quality service portfolio to our potential B2B customers in the broadcast and telecommunications industry. Agama without any doubt was choice number one as partner for the quality assurance of the video signals.”

Mikael Dahlgren, CEO at Agama Technologies, added: “Opportunity enabling offerings to the market, like this, are always exciting. As a long standing partner, we are very proud to be selected by Telekom Austria Group to deliver our solution and expertise to also support its new direct2home product with best-in-class service quality assurance.”
