The president of Slovakia’s Telecom Office (TUSR) has rejected an appeal by UPC Broadband in a dispute with Antik Telecom over OTT services.
In a statement, the regulator has effectively confirmed a decision, coming into effect on October 21, that it is not qualified to rule on the dispute.
The dispute involved the blocking of Antik Telecom’s services, as well as other features on UPC’s Smart TV set-top box.
According to TUSR, the blocking of such services is not forbidden by law and is not addressed by Act on Electronic Communications.
