The Polish cable operator Vectra has extended its on demand service to Warsaw.
The move follows closely on from an agreement the company signed with Monolith Films, adding to ones it already has in place with Walt Disney Studio and Warner Bros.
Vectra’s VOD service consists of two types of content: free of charge, mostly from channels viewers already receive in the digital packages they subscribe to, and hundreds of paid-for movies, costing from PLN6-8 (€1.43-1.90) for new titles, PLN6 for older ones and PLN8 for adult.
Vectra’s VOD service will next be launched in Radom, Kielce and Wroclaw and should be available in over 20 cities by the end of the year.
Vectra is the second largest cable operator in Poland, providing services to 860,000 customers in 176 cities throughout the country.
