Poland’s nc+ has signed an agreement with Vector securing Ericsson’s latest AVP 4000 platform.
The latter enables HD broadcasts with additional sound emission and will give nc+ the opportunity to launch a number of new and innovative services.
The solution provides high performance and support for all digital TV standards: SD and HD, 1080p50/60, 3DTV and UHDTV, along with all standards, including MPE-2, MPEG-4, and JPEG2000 in 4:2:0/4:2:2 formats with 8/10 bit video processors.
Nc+ was formed by the merger of Cyfra+ and n and officially made its debut in March this year.
It currently has 2.5 million subscribers and an offer that includes 50 HD channels.
Vector is meanwhile an international technology company that specialises in the designing and manufacturing of innovative solutions for telecommunications operators in Europe.
