The Czech public broadcaster CT has significantly increased the coverage of two new thematic channels thanks to an agreement with the national transmission company Ceske Radiokomunikace (CRa).
The two channels – CT Decko, which is aimed at kids, and the cultural CT Art – were only launched at the end of August and can now reach 95% of the population.
This is thanks to having secured slots on the country’s third multiplex, with their initial usage on the regional multiplex 1a having only given 82.5% coverage.
The agreement between CT and CRa is long-term and envisages the two parties working together on the development of terrestrial broadcasting, including the introduction of the DVB-T2 standard.
