Mikhail Lesin has been appointed DG of Russia’s Gazprom-Media Holding, effective October 1.
He replaces Nikolai Senkevich, who was dismissed from the post by the company’s board of directors at the end of last month.
Lesin has held a number of senior positions in the Russian TV industry since the late 1980s, among them at NTV, RTR and most recently National Telecommunications.
Gazprom-Media Holding includes NTV, TNT and the DTH platform NTV-Plus among its interests.
