Sky adds 12 catch-up TV channels

October 1, 2013 07.43 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Game-of-Thrones-Season-3-Tyrion-BronnSky has added 12 new channels joining to its catch-up TV service: Discovery, TLC, E!, Star, Watch, GOLD, Dave, Alibi, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Cartoonito and Sky News.

The broadcaster is also adding new titles to its TV Box Set collection. All the Box Sets are available on both the main TV set via a Sky+HD box, and selected series on their mobile devices with Sky Go.

Entertainment Extra+ customers can look forward to almost a hundred series of TV Box Sets joining the service this autumn, with some exclusive highlights only available on Sky, including The Wire (Complete box set – series 1-5, Sky Atlantic, from November 1); Sopranos (Complete box set – series 1-6, Sky Atlantic, from December 1); Game of Thrones (Series 1& 2, Sky Atlantic, from October 1); Mad Men (Series 1-3, Sky Atlantic, from October 1) and Seinfeld (Series 8, Sky Atlantic, from October 1, and series 9 from November 1).

“We know how important it is for our customers to have the flexibility to watch the shows everyone is talking about when it suits them. That’s why this autumn we are introducing more TV series to our TV Box Set service, to ensure we have Box Sets of the latest and greatest shows ready for customers to catch up on whenever they want,” said Luke Bradley-Jones, Sky’s Brand Director of TV Products.

“So whether you missed out on the moves of McNulty in The Wire first time around, or just want some pure escapism by indulging on the complete series of Mad Men, you’ll find it on your Sky+ box, ready for you whenever you are. All Sky+HD customers can enjoy all that on demand has to offer by simply connecting their set-top box to broadband. And the great news is that it’s easy to get set up, thanks to our nifty wireless connectors.”
