September 30, 2013 13.01 Europe/London By Robert Briel

TCM logoTurner Broadcasting Systems has confirmed it will cease the dedicated Dutch langauge feed of TCM at the end of the year.

Following “a strategic review” the broadcaster has decided to end TCM for The Netherlands and the Dutch speaking for of Belgium.

The broadcaster has already informed its distribution partners that it might cease the feed. At the moment, TCM is available on Ziggo, KPN, Delta, Caiway, Glashart Media and on the DTH platforms TV Vlaanderen and Canal Digitaal.

UPC has dropped the channel some time ago and Belgacom has announced it will cease distribution on Tuesday, October 1.

The decision will not impact other versions of TCM, which are available in France, Germany, South Africa, Spain, Asia, Latin America, Scandinavia, the UK, Ireland and Poland. The UK version operates two channels, TCM and TCM+1.
