A decision on the sale of Telekom Slovenije will be made by the Slovenian government this coming Thursday, October 3.
According to Finance, the telco, which was one of 15 companies put on the market in May, will be sold by the end of 2014.
Deutsche Telekom-backed Hrvatski Telekom has merged as a frontrunner to buy Telekom Slovenije, with other possible buyers, including Telenor and Telekom Austria, refusing to comment.
Telekom Slovenije is currently majority (62.5%) owned by the Republic of Slovenia, with the next largest shareholder being Kapitalska druzba (5.59%).
