The Polish company Magna Polonia has lodged a court petition against the mobile companies PTK Centertel, P4, Polkomtel and T-Mobile Poland.
According to Gazeta Wyborcza, it is seeking an amicable settlement of PLN617.8 million (€146.2 million) related to the award of DVB-H licences in the country in 2009.
These were won by Info-TV-FM, a subsidiary of Magna Polonia, beating off a rival bid from a consortium composed of the four operators.
Info-TV-FM then planned to offer a TV package to the operators, who in turn would make it available to their subscribers.
However, despite Info-TV-FM being already able to reach 5.5 million Poles with DVB-H services by 2010, the mobile operators lost all interest in working with the company.
The competition authority UOKiK responded to this by fining them PLN133 million at the end of 2011.
The operators have since refused to pay the fine.
