The Romanian station Realitatea TV is no longer allowed to broadcast terrestrially in the capital, Bucharest.
According to Mediafax, this follows a decision by the National Audiovisual Council (CNA) not to renew an analogue terrestrial broadcasting licence for the city held by its owner Realitatea Media that had expired on August 19.
However, the company still holds a satellite licence that can be used to distribute Realitatea in Bucharest.
Realitatea Media has been insolvent since September 2011 and has tax liabilities of RON73,019,238 (€16,321,800).
