SeaChange extends Latvian deal

September 12, 2013 08.55 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Livas TelecommunicationsSeaChange International has extended its multi-year service agreement with the Latvian operator Livas Telecommunications.

The company has supplied it with its CASIS linear broadcast solution since 2009, enabling Livas to handle EPG megadata and DVB table generation for its multi-platform services.

Commenting on the extension, Alex Pavlov, technical director, Livas Telecommunications, said: “As a multi-platform operator, Livas’ priority is to maintain a single, high-quality and cost-efficient infrastructure that has the flexibility to grow and serve all of our audiences.

“The high-quality linear broadcast software from SeaChange, together with their superior know-how, is the answer to our EPG needs today. This is just as it was when we first engaged, which is to ensure service quality and peace of mind where our viewers interact with the Livas brand and offerings.”

Andrei Noppe, senior VP and general manager EMEA and APAC, SeaChange, added: “Our deployment with Livas truly demonstrates the capacity of CASIS to reliably scale in support of increasingly rich subscriber offerings from multi-platform operators.

“We’re pleased that our products and services will continue to enable Livas to provide market-leading cable, terrestrial and IPTV services.”
