Jinni Semantic Video Discovery is being implemented by Filmnet, the VOD service operated by Scandinavia TV company C More (Bonnier).
C More will unveil a new, intuitive user interface for their Filmnet.se OTT distribution service, powered by semantic video discovery provider Jinni.
Jinni’s proprietary Entertainment Genome uses deep knowledge of every TV show and movie in the C More catalogue to give users intuitive, personalized recommendations of content that matches their taste and mood.
“Filmnet will be the very best online content service in Scandinavia,” said Carl Bonnier, product Manager Filmnet.
“We want to make it easy to find lots of great shows and movies you will love watching. That’s why C More invests heavily in acquiring all the best local and international content, and why we are now making it easier to find with Jinni.”
“From the beginning, we set out to reinvent the way people find something great to watch,” said Jinni Co-founder and CEO, Yosi Glick.
“That means focusing on the user and making the technology understand his wants and preferences, in his natural, native language. Our semantic discovery engine speaks the language of film and TV is uniquely positioned to work in any language.” Jinni will power natural, intuitive discovery on Filmnet platforms in Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian languages.
“The new Filmnet website featuring Jinni will be launched during the fall in Sweden, Norway and Finland. Jinni will offer a sneak peek of this new website at IBC in Amsterdam later this week.
