Hisense has launched the Opera TV Store has now launched on selected models of Hisense Smart TVs, extending the partnership between Opera and Hisense.
Hisense, which is already using the Opera Devices Software Development Kit to power their entertainment portal, is introducing the Opera TV Store app platform to offer audiences a selection of entertaining HTML5-based apps optimised for connected TV. This spans apps for video, music, social media, games, news and utilities.
Viewers can discover the Opera TV Store on Hisense’s K610, XT780, XT880, K366 and K610 smart TV models.
“Opera and Hisense have built a rewarding partnership. We evaluated many options when we decided to offer apps to our TV customers, and chose Opera as it has proven to be the simplest and fastest way to bring apps to TV,” said Charlie Wang, VP, Hisense Group.

The Opera TV Store is already available on smart TVs and Blu-ray Disc players from Sony and TCL, and is coming soon to TVs, Blu-ray Disc players and set-top boxes from several other manufacturers.
The Opera ecosystem is more than just the Opera TV Store, with the Opera Devices SDK and Opera browser powering the web on tens of millions of devices, including Sony, Samsung, Philips, TCL, Humax, Sharp, Loewe, Boxee, Hisense, Freesat+, Vestel and Altech.
