Discovery Networks Deutschland is set to launch TLC in Germany as a free-to-air channel in 2014.
The channel is the fourth one in the country from Discovery, who already has DMax as a FTA channel and Discovery Channel and Animal Planet as pay channels. TLC will be distributed on all platforms, including cable, IPTV and satellite DTH.

The female skewed channel is already available to 300 million homes in 160 countries, including the Netherlands and the UK with programmes such as Here comes Honey Boo Boo, Cake Boss, Ultimate Shopper, Say yes to the dress and Breaking Amish. The chnanel targets women between 20 and 49 years with non-fiction programming.
