MBC Group partners with Mondo Globo

MBC Group has appointed Mondo Globo as the exclusive distributor of MBC TV channels in Europe.

The granted distribution rights will allow Mondo Globo to maximise the reach of MBC1, Al Arabiya, MBC3, MBC Drama, Wanasa and MBC MASR across different platforms and technologies throughout Europe. In light of Mondo Globo’s extensive network, MBC programming will now be distributed in France, Belgium, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark and Sweden.

This new distribution partnership will deliver Arabic television programming to a diverse network of audiences in key European markets.

“We believe Mondo Globo will strengthen the presence of MBC channels in Europe”, said Fares Akkad, head of distribution, MBC Group.

“Mondo Globo is honoured to have MBC channels on board its wide range of channels portfolio”, said Shady Hamzeh, managing director, Mondo Globo. “In selecting Mondo Globo, MBC Group has taken a strategic step to deliver more services and content to Arabic audiences across Europe.”

Based in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, MBC Group includes 13 television channels: MBC1 (general family entertainment), MBC2 and MBC MAX (24-hour movies), MBC3 (children’s edutainment), MBC4 (entertainment for young families with women at its core), MBC Action (an indigenous adrenaline-packed channel with local and homegrown productions), MBC Persia (24-hour movie channel dubbed in Farsi) , Al Arabiya (the 24-hour Arabic language news channel); Al Arabiya Al Hadath (an extension of Al Arabiya News Channel)? Wanasah (24-hour Arabic music channel); MBC DRAMA (24/7 Arabic Drama); MBC MASR (general family entrainment channel geared towards the Egyptian family), and MBC + Drama (paid channel on OSN).The Group also includes two radio stations: MBC FM (Gulf music), and Panorama FM (contemporary Arabic hit music); as well as O3 productions, a specialized production unit.
