DNA CEO Riitta Tiuraniemi is to leave her post following a failed attempt to sell the communications company. A new CEO will be appointed with Jukka Leinonen, Vice President, Corporate Business, brought in as acting CEO.
“I would like to thank Riitta for her 14 years at DNA: during this time, she held various management positions and, from 2009 onwards, led the whole Group, managing its emergence as a growing and profitable company in a highly competitive industry. As a challenger in the industry, DNA has demonstrated that competition is good for all stakeholders”, said Jarmo Leino, Chairman of the Board of DNA.
’The telecommunications industry is undergoing a major disruption. The new CEO will need to have a very dynamic approach and a vision of where DNA’s new opportunities lie. I firmly believe that the innovativeness and solid knowhow of our staff will move our company forward in the right direction also under the helm of the future CEO’, he added.
It is anticipated that a new CEO will be appointed by the end of the year.
DNA operates telecommunications, cable and DTT networks.
