Hungary ended July with close to 2 million TV homes receiving either cable or IPTV services.
There were also a total of nearly 2 million TV homes receiving digital services.
Data produced by the regulator NMHH shows that based on data provided by the nine leading players, there were a total of 1,949,661 cable and IPTV subscriptions, of which 941,688 were for digital services.
The number of wireless (DTH and MMDS) subscriptions meanwhile stood at 923,854, while the DTT pay-TV take up was 107,351.
The total number of digital TV subscriptions was 1,972,893.
UPC was the leading provider of pay-TV services irrespective of technology with a share of 26.4%. It was followed by T-Home (23.5%), Digi (23%), Invitel (3.6%) and Tarr (3%).
