UPC has significantly enhanced its offer in Hungary, raising internet access speeds for residential customers to up to 240 Mbps.
The latter is double the previous maximum available and marks another milestone for the operator.
It was the first in the country to introduce over 100 Mbps superfast new generation internet back in 2009, six times faster than ADSL’s highest limit, while setting the minimum offered speed at 10 Mbps.
This helped it increase its internet subscriber total to the current figure of over half a million. The new Fiber Power tiers offer 240/20 Mbps for residential customers and 250/25 Mbps for businesses, with 60 and 80 Mbps minimum guaranteed download speeds respectively.
The minimum offered speed has also increased to 15 Mbps in the new portfolio.
UPC Hungary’s new 240 Mbps speed is available starting from HUF8,190 (€27.44) and an all-in-one Trio XL package costing less than HUF10,000 a month.
