The Polish music TV channel operator 4fun Media has posted first half revenues of PLN16,297,000 (€3,850,440), or 5% more than in the corresponding period last year.
However, its net profit fell by 21% – from PLN5,040,000 to PLN4,123,000 – over the same period.
The company notes that its audience figures in Q2 was lower than the record ones in 2012 and were impacted on by a fall in the TV ad market by several percentage points.
4fun Media’s results were also affected by such factors as an increase in transmission costs, and marketing expenses due to increased competition from other operators of music channels.
The company currently operates three channels – 4fun.TV, RBL.TV and TV Disco – and all increased their technical coverage in the year to June 30.
In terms of audience share, the three channels achieved a record AMR 26,700 in Q1 but failed to achieve the same figure in Q2 as in the same period last year.
However, average AMR in H1 was 24,096, significantly higher than the 21,890 posted a year earlier.
