New appointments at CryptoGuard and Triax

August 2, 2013 07.02 Europe/London By Robert Briel

German Triax and Swedish CryptoGuard have announced new appointments to their respective organisations.

Triax has appointed Thomas Gerlach as the new managing director of its new DACH organisation (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).

Gerlach has been working in the broadcast industry for over 24 years. During this time, he held senior positions with leading companies in the telecommunications, media and consumer electronics.

“With Thomas Gerlach we have a recognised industry expert at the forefront of our DACH organisation, with extensive experience in senior management,” said Claus Manno, CEO of Triax Group.

“Together with his management team, he will strengthen the competitiveness and so continue its successful development.”

Swedish CAS and SMS provider CryptoGuard has appointed Krzysztof Wieczorek as a new area sales manager for the Polish, Czech and Slovak markets.

Wieczorek comes from an employment at the leading Polish system integrator Klonex-VCS where he has been responsible for the sales to small and medium CATV as an account manager.

Kjell Carlswärd, CryptoGuard CEO, said: “The small and medium sized operators are very important to us since a lot of those have not already chosen a CAS provider. They are also reluctant to choose one of the big CAS providers because of their high pricing and lack of experience in handling smaller customers”.

Nordija White Paper Competition: Why you should welcome the commercial breaks

TV commercial breaks are annoying interruptions and can invoke much frustration – yes. Furthermore, the future of a lot of the linear TV channels looks uncertain in the wake of on demand streaming services – offering content without long commercial breaks. So, where does this leave TV commercials as we know them today? What if embracing flow TV commercials could act as a life vest to keep the good content adrift?
